Svante has named Terry Lefebvre as Chief Financial Officer as the Vancouver-based company moves toward large-scale deployment of carbon capture technologies.
The appointment comes as carbon capture projects become more capital-intensive, increasing the need for structured project financing.
Lefebvre will lead global finance, overseeing capital planning, project finance and financial strategy as Svante scales its industrial carbon capture and removal systems.
He joins from Egis, where he served as CFO for North America. He previously held senior finance roles at WSP Canada and SNC-Lavalin, now known as AtkinsRéalis.
Svante develops modular systems and engineered filters to capture carbon dioxide from industrial emissions and the atmosphere.
The appointment underscores the importance of financial structuring as industrial emitters seek scalable decarbonization solutions.
