Paper Advancement

Koehler Paper has partnered with Italian organic pasta brand IRIS Bio to introduce a recyclable paper-based packaging alternative.

For the first time, pasta is being packaged using Koehler NexPlus® Seal Pure, a heat-sealable paper that enhances shelf life while maintaining strength and compatibility with standard packaging machines.

This collaboration aligns with IRIS Bio’s commitment to sustainability and high-quality food production. “With Koehler NexPlus® Seal Pure, we offer a packaging paper that significantly reduces the carbon footprint compared to conventional plastic packaging, while also being fully recyclable,” explains Mauro Moretti, Sales Manager for Flexible Packaging Paper at Koehler Italia.

Positive customer feedback confirms the success of this sustainable initiative, highlighting a growing shift toward eco-friendly packaging solutions in the food industry.
