Paper Advancement

Lecta has introduced Creaset HGP, a new high-performance paper solution designed for grease-resistant flexible packaging.

This PFAS-free paper combines excellent barrier protection, recyclability, and print quality, making it ideal for packaging applications such as butter wraps and pet food bags.

Unveiled on April 9, 2025, Creaset HGP reflects Lecta’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and innovation in the packaging sector. Made from natural, recyclable, and renewable raw materials, the one-side coated paper is engineered to preserve product freshness and integrity, even under demanding conditions.

With superior grease resistance, Creaset HGP offers a safer and more environmentally responsible alternative to conventional barrier papers, especially as it contains no per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). It has achieved a recyclability score of 95/100 from CEPI and Level A certification from Aticelca, making it well-suited for circular economy strategies and brands focused on reducing environmental impact.

In addition to its protective properties, the paper delivers excellent print performance across flexographic, offset, and rotogravure methods—enabling vibrant, high-quality graphics for standout shelf presence.

Creaset HGP is produced under a comprehensive suite of certifications, including ISO 14001, EMAS, ISO 50001, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and FSSC 22000, and is available with FSC® or PEFC chain-of-custody certification upon request.

With Creaset HGP and its metallized counterpart Metalvac GP PFAS-free, Lecta now offers a new generation of recyclable paper solutions for grease-proof packaging—tailored to meet the evolving needs of both manufacturers and environmentally conscious consumers.
