Little Rapids Corporation has brought Shawano Specialty Papers and Nexxa together under a single name: Rapids Paper + Packaging.
The move combines specialty paper, flexible packaging, printing and coating operations under one brand. Substrate development, coating, printing and converting will now operate within a unified structure designed to simplify collaboration and shorten development cycles.
Rapids Paper + Packaging remains a division of Little Rapids Corporation, the 75-year family-owned manufacturer headquartered in Wisconsin.
A key focus is paper-based packaging. The portfolio includes Ecova™, a platform developed to help brands reduce plastic use while maintaining performance requirements.
“This alignment allows us to unlock new possibilities in performance and sustainability,” said Angie Sheehan, CEO of Little Rapids Corporation.
Operations in Green Bay and Shawano continue unchanged. Customer relationships and production footprints remain in place.
The company will continue advancing fiber sourcing, water stewardship, waste reduction and coating technologies aimed at improving recyclability and lowering plastic content.
The rebranding increases market visibility while preserving the technical capabilities that have defined the company’s specialty paper and flexible packaging business for decades.
