Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) plans to shut down several of its production sites by the end of the year, according to notices filed this month under the U.S. Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act.
In Allentown, Pennsylvania, the company’s full-line plant will cease operations on December 1, affecting 60 employees. In Salisbury, North Carolina, another full-line plant will permanently close on December 19, resulting in 108 job losses, according to a notification submitted to the state on October 3.
