Pratt Industries is expanding its York County operations with a new manufacturing facility.
The $92.5 million investment is expected to create 116 new jobs, strengthening South Carolina’s position in sustainable manufacturing.
The new facility, located at 2087 Williams Industrial Blvd. in Rock Hill, will be upfitted to produce Pratt’s custom packaging products. The company already operates a recycling center in Rock Hill, reinforcing its vertically integrated approach to circular packaging solutions.
“We are excited to expand our operations in the great state of South Carolina and the mid-Atlantic region,” said Anthony Pratt, Global Executive Chairman of Pratt Industries. “Our new facility supports our continued commitment to invest in recycling, clean energy infrastructure, and American manufacturing jobs.”
The South Carolina Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits related to the project, along with a $400,000 Set-Aside grant to York County to help fund building improvements.
Governor Henry McMaster praised the expansion, calling it “a big win for South Carolina’s recycling industry.” He added, “This project will create 116 new jobs and marks an important step forward in strengthening our state’s reputation in sustainability and manufacturing.”
Harry M. Lightsey III, Secretary of Commerce, noted that the project reflects Pratt Industries’ ongoing success and leadership in sustainability, while York County Council Chairwoman Christi Cox highlighted the company’s contribution to local economic opportunity.
Rock Hill Mayor John Gettys welcomed the investment, emphasizing the city’s readiness to support Pratt Industries with a skilled workforce and reliable infrastructure.
Headquartered in Conyers, Georgia, Pratt Industries is a leading U.S. manufacturer of sustainable corrugated packaging and 100% recycled containerboard, employing thousands across the country. The company operates mills, recycling plants, and converting facilities designed to support a circular economy.
