The last paper mill in Jay, Maine, which has been a cornerstone of the town's economy for over 130 years, has stopped production.

The Pixelle Androscoggin Mill, which was the town's only remaining mill, ceased paper production three years after a devastating explosion. The closure of the mill has raised concerns about the future of the town, which is now faced with finding new economic opportunities.
