One such group is Portes ouvertes sur le lac,, which serves new arrivals to Quebec’s Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region. They identify housing options, organize social activities and help families settle into their new environments.
In 2022, Resolute operations across Quebec will welcome more than 130 new employees, recruited from countries including the Philippines, France, Ivory Coast and Morocco, among others. The entire process of recruiting and integrating an international worker takes about ten months. “Our hope is that these employees become integrated into their new communities and settle in Quebec for the long term,” says Janic Gaudreault, director of Talent Acquisition in Quebec. “Each one of them adds value to our organization.”
