With the help of CO2 Solutions, Resolute is taking an important step to reduce greenhouse gas emissions at our Saint-Félicien (Quebec) pulp mill.

CO2 Solutions has built an innovative carbon capture unit at the mill. The unit, which began operating on March 14, 2019, will have the capacity to capture 30 metric tons of CO2 per day, significantly decreasing the mill’s emissions. The unit uses enzymatic technology, which produces no toxic emissions. The captured carbon will be reused by the Toundra Greenhouse, located directly adjacent to the mill, helping that facility to increase its cucumber production. Construction of the capture unit was financed in part through investments from Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC) and the Technoclimat program of the Quebec government, as well as a loan from Canada Economic Development (CED).

CO2 Solutions is a carbon tech leader in the field of enzyme-enabled carbon capture and has been actively working to develop and commercialize the technology for stationary sources of carbon pollution.
