LONDON (Nov. 5, 2020) — When Tissue World Digital Days convenes online Nov. 11-13, 2020, it will bring together the leading thinkers, makers and doers in the world of tissue manufacturing and distribution for three days of high-level discussions of the industry’s current state and future prospects. The event was organized when the Tissue World live events, originally scheduled for 2020, were postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Tissue World Digital Days will offer every attendee an entirely new experience of content, education and matchmaking. Over three days, five focused live panel discussions and webinars will take place with a deep and broad program. Franz is the director of the ANDRITZ Steel Yankee and Technology Tissue team. He joined ANDRITZ about 13 years ago as a design engineer for tissue and paper machines. He played a major role in various machine rebuilds and experienced how tissue and paper machines with the first ANDRITZ steel Yankees were put into operation successfully. Today, Franz heads the ANDRITZ tissue technology team and is in charge of product management. He works closely with the ANDRITZ tissue pilot plant (PrimeLineTIAC - Tissue Innovation and Application Center) team and research institutions.

Ian has held positions as a process development engineer in a board mill, at an engineering company, in chemical sales and service and as global tissue marketing manager at Hercules. Mike has over 30 years’ experience in the pulp and paper industry specializing in steam and condensate systems. He is president of Kadant Johnson Systems based in Knoxville, Tennessee. Manfred Jaeger: Tissue Machine Vibrations
Managing Director, Jaeger GmbH, Germany
Manfred founded JAEGER GmbH in 1995 after 12 years with ESCHER WYSS (later Voith). With more than 30 years’ experience he is specialized in on-site service for Yankee/MG cylinders: grinding, metallization and mechanical service. He co-founded JAEGER Inc. in Vancouver, Washington, USA, to serve the North and South American markets.

Following military service Lütfi started his career at Toprak Kagıt Tissue mill — the biggest tissue manufacturer in Turkey — as maintenance engineer in 1984. He has held management positions at Measurex-Turkey, Toprak Kagıt and Modern Karton Plant, the biggest corrugated paper producer in Turkey. In 2004 Lütfi went to Hayat Kimya Tissue Project and started the first tissue paper plant in Yeniköy, Turkey, in 2006. Since then he has finished seven additional paper plant startups in Turkey, İran, Russia Federation, Egypt and will complete his ninth startup in Russia Federation by the end of 2021.
