Northwood has completed the acquisition of the property and fixed assets of Kimberly‑Clark Professional and Personal Care operations at Coleshill and Flint, strengthening its footprint in the UK tissue and converting market.

The transaction covers a 98-acre site that includes a 30,000-tonne tissue mill, a converting plant producing both rolled and folded tissue products, a national distribution centre, and a personal care facility equipped with advanced converting technology for environmentally compliant wet wipes. The assets were previously operated by Kimberly-Clark across its Professional and Personal Care segments.

Following completion, the business will operate as Northwood Tissue (Flint) Ltd and be integrated into Northwood’s Away-from-Home (AfH) and Consumer divisions. The company said the scale and location of the site will complement its existing operations and support future growth across both markets.

The addition of the tissue mill and converting assets is expected to expand Northwood’s product capabilities, enabling the company to extend current ranges and broaden its value chain. Systems alignment is underway ahead of a phased start-up, with Northwood planning a recruitment drive to create a significant number of local jobs.

Commenting on the acquisition, Paul Fecher, founder and chairman of Northwood, said the deal brings renewed opportunities to expand across traditional and emerging sectors. He added that the company looks forward to bringing the site into full production under UK management and ownership.
