Steve Henry, Paper & Packaging CEO and President USA at Domtar, has been elected Chair of the American Forest & Paper Association Board of Directors.

American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) has elected Steve Henry, Paper & Packaging CEO and President USA at Domtar, as Chair of its Board of Directors.

The appointment was confirmed during AF&PA’s Winter Board of Directors’ Meeting, held on January 29, bringing together senior leaders from across the U.S. pulp, paper, packaging, and tissue sectors.

AF&PA President and CEO Heidi Brock highlighted Henry’s industry experience and leadership as key assets for the association as it advances policy priorities affecting the forest products value chain.

The AF&PA Board represents a broad cross-section of companies operating mills and converting facilities throughout the United States, many of them located in rural communities where the sector plays a central economic role.

Board Officers and New Members

Alongside Henry’s appointment, AF&PA confirmed the following officers:

  • First Vice Chair: Arsen Kitch, President & CEO, Clearwater Paper Corporation
  • Second Vice Chair: Andrew Silvernail, Chairman & CEO, International Paper
  • Immediate Past Chair: Mark Kowlzan, Chairman & CEO, Packaging Corporation of America

AF&PA also elected Robbert Rietbroek, President and CEO of Graphic Packaging International, as a new board member, alongside a slate of returning directors representing major North American and international producers.

In addition, the association welcomed new company members Crown Paper Group and K.T.G. (USA) Inc., as well as associate member Burkes Mechanical.

Speaking following his election, Henry said he looks forward to working with the board to address both challenges and opportunities facing the industry, while supporting the customers and communities served by AF&PA member companies.

The American Forest & Paper Association represents U.S. pulp, paper, packaging, and wood products manufacturers and advocates policies supporting a competitive and sustainable forest products industry.
