Cascades has appointed Emmanuelle Migneault as Chief Human Resources Officer, effective January 5, 2026.
She succeeds Maryse Fernet, who is set to retire in February after more than 38 years with the company.
Migneault previously served as Vice-President, Excellence, and has been with Cascades since 2001. Over the course of her career, she has held senior human resources leadership roles across multiple business units as well as at the corporate level. She was appointed Vice-President, Excellence in November 2024.
A graduate of Université Laval with a specialization in human resources and organizational information systems, Migneault has also completed training in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement. Her career at Cascades has been marked by mandates focused on organizational transformation, operational excellence and leadership development.
Cascades President and CEO Hugues Simon said the appointment reflects Migneault’s deep understanding of the company’s culture and strategic priorities, while also paying tribute to Fernet’s role in modernizing Cascades’ human resources processes and shaping its culture and values over nearly four decades.
Founded in 1964, Cascades develops sustainable packaging, hygiene and recovery solutions and employs approximately 9,500 people across 65 operating facilities in North America. The company’s shares trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol CAS.
