Metsä Board has announced several leadership changes effective 1 March 2026, aimed at supporting its ongoing transformation and long‑term strategy.

Metsä Board is reshaping its Corporate Leadership Team with the following moves.

  • Jussi Noponen, currently Senior Vice President, Production and Supply Chain at Metsä Board, has been appointed Executive Vice President of Metsä Wood and will remain in his present position at Metsä Board until 28 February 2026.
  • Laura Remes, previously Senior Vice President, Business Transformation, has been named Senior Vice President, Production and Supply Chain, succeeding Noponen.
  • Anssi Tammilehto, who joins Metsä Board as Chief Financial Officer on 26 January 2026, will also assume responsibility for the company’s transformation agenda as of 1 March, taking over duties previously held by Remes.

According to CEO Esa Kaikkonen, the appointments are intended to ensure continuity while supporting long‑term value creation. He thanked Noponen for his long service, underlined Remes’s experience in production, supply chain and transformation, and said Tammilehto’s expanded role will further strengthen the leadership structure as the company prioritizes the execution of its transformation programme.
