The Centre for Research & Innovation in the Bio-Economy (CRIBE) has announced a leadership transition with the appointment of Scott Jackson as CEO.

He succeeds Chris Walton, who will step down on February 18 after seven years at the helm.

Under Chris Walton’s leadership, CRIBE has become a key player in advancing materials innovation within the bio-economy, forging strong partnerships at the provincial, national, and international levels.

Scott Jackson brings over 25 years of experience in forest management and natural resource policy. Most recently, he served as Director of Conservation Biology at the Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC). His expertise in the forest sector will be instrumental in advancing CRIBE’s mission to develop a sustainable and profitable forest bio-economy in Ontario.

Chris Walton will continue to support CRIBE in an advisory role during the transition.
