Rayonier Advanced Materials (RYAM) has confirmed that President and Chief Executive Officer De Lyle W. Bloomquist plans to retire at the time of the company’s 2026 Annual Meeting of Stockholders, scheduled for May.
Bloomquist has also advised that he will not seek another term on the company’s Board of Directors.
Bloomquist will continue to serve as CEO during the transition period, remaining in the role until a successor is named.
Bloomquist has led RYAM since 2021, a period marked by the company’s strategic focus on its BioFuture platform and the continued development of its cellulose-based technology portfolio. The Board has indicated that the leadership transition is being managed within the framework of its long-term strategic priorities.
RYAM is a global producer of cellulose-based technologies, supplying cellulose specialties used in filtration, food, pharmaceutical, and a range of industrial applications. The company also manufactures commodity fluff pulp, bioenergy products, and biomaterials such as bioethanol and tall oil derivatives, and serves selected paper and packaging markets. RYAM operates manufacturing facilities in the United States, Canada, and France, and reported revenues of approximately $1.6 billion in 2024.
