Domtar has earned global recognition as one of the "Private 25 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World," a distinction awarded by Corporate Knights, a respected organization specializing in sustainability research and media.

This honor highlights Domtar’s leadership in environmental responsibility, particularly in the lead-up to its upcoming Sustainability Strategy launch on May 6. The recognition, announced during Earth Week, underscores the company’s commitment to responsible forest management and sustainable business practices.

“It is a fantastic honor to be recognized during Earth Week as a global corporate citizen,” said Sabrina de Branco, Global Chief Sustainability Officer at Domtar. “Sustainability and responsible forest management are core to our operations.”

Steve Henry, President of Paper & Packaging, added: “Sustainability is woven into every aspect of our business, underscoring our commitments to customers, communities and employees.”

Corporate Knights assessed global companies with over $1 billion in sales that publicly disclose greenhouse gas emissions, evaluating them across 12 key sustainability indicators. Domtar, along with its legacy brands Paper Excellence and Catalyst Paper, has received multiple accolades from Corporate Knights over the past two decades for its efforts to drive a more sustainable economy.

Domtar is a leading North American manufacturer of forest products, operating across more than 60 sites with nearly 14,000 employees. The company produces 9.1 million metric tons of pulp, paper, packaging and tissue annually, along with 3 billion board feet of lumber and wood products. Formed through the integration of Paper Excellence, Domtar and Resolute Forest Products, the company is committed to transforming sustainable wood fiber into essential everyday products.
