The Fibre Box Association (FBA) has announced a leadership transition within its Technical Committee, marking the end of an era and the beginning of a new chapter for the industry group.
After ten years of dedicated service as Committee Chair, Ben Frank of Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is stepping down from his leadership role. Frank will remain an active committee member, continuing to share his technical expertise and industry experience.
The FBA expressed its appreciation for Frank’s contributions, noting his decade-long guidance in advancing technical collaboration and innovation within North America’s corrugated packaging sector.
Steve Johnson of Smurfit Westrock has been appointed as the new Committee Chair, while James Moody of Commencement Bay Corrugated will serve as Vice Chair.
“We are grateful to Ben for his outstanding leadership and long-standing commitment,” said Chase Kammerer, FBA Manager of Technical Services, during the committee’s recent meeting in Lancaster, Texas. “We look forward to Steve and James continuing to build on that foundation as they lead the Technical Committee into its next phase.”
The meeting also included a tour of Wal-Mart’s distribution facility in Lancaster, offering members a firsthand look at logistics operations and packaging efficiencies in a major retail network.
