USDA Appoints New Board Members to Paper and Packaging Board

The Paper and Packaging Board (P+PB) has announced the appointment of five new members to its Board of Directors by U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack.

These individuals will guide the organization in its efforts to promote the paper and packaging sectors with a focus on sustainability. The appointments, set to begin on January 1, 2025, include:

  • Steve Henry, Domtar – Three-year term

  • Brandon Bennett, Georgia-Pacific – Three-year term

  • Erin Raccah, Sylvamo – Three-year term

  • Anne Ayer, Sappi – Two-year term

  • Richard Bennett, Suzano Packaging – One-year term

The board, consisting of eight members, represents the four grades of paper funding the “Paper & Packaging – How Life Unfolds®” campaign. This national promotion program emphasizes sustainability and the value of paper and packaging products.

  • Board Members:

    • Anne Ayer, Vice President of Pulp Business and Supply Chain, Sappi

    • Brandon Bennett, President of Containerboard, Bleached Board and Kraft, Georgia-Pacific

    • An Boon, Vice President of Global Marketing, Graphic Packaging International

    • Juan Pablo Perez Chavez, CFO, Smurfit Westrock

    • Erin Raccah, Associate General Counsel, Sylvamo

The Board’s composition ensures a diverse representation of the paper and packaging industries, bolstering its mission to advance innovation and environmental responsibility.
