Graphic Packaging announced the closure of its Randleman, NC facility.

This comes after the company closed a Charlotte location earlier this year, resulting in a total job loss of over 170 across the state.

The Randleman closure, impacting about 65 employees, is slated for completion by July and is part of a broader network consolidation strategy. Graphic Packaging assures they are committed to supporting laid-off workers through outplacement services and encouraging them to apply for open positions within the company.

Despite the closures, the company emphasizes continued growth, reporting a significant net income increase in 2023. They also maintain operations at three other North Carolina locations.

The future of the Randleman facility remains unclear. The company owns the property and hasn't disclosed any plans for the building or the land.
