UPM Pulp, UPM Communication Papers, and the Paper Workers' Union have successfully concluded negotiations on the collective labour agreements for UPM's Finnish pulp and printing paper mills.

This agreement marks a significant milestone for the company and its employees.

"We are pleased that we have reached a negotiated outcome on the new collective agreements and would like to thank the Paper Workers’ Union for the constructive and good spirit negotiations. The contents of the negotiation outcomes now achieved create a good basis for the development of our business in Finland," stated Aki Temmes, Executive Vice President of UPM Fibres, and Antti Hermonen, Senior Vice President of Operations for UPM Communication Papers.

The newly negotiated collective agreements will span a two-year period and will take effect upon approval by the Paper Workers’ Union’s Board, which is scheduled to review the agreements on June 5, 2024.

Meanwhile, negotiations on collective labour agreements for other UPM divisions, including UPM Specialty Papers, UPM Raflatac, and UPM Biofuels, are ongoing.
