Recently, Billerud has received two high rankings in sustainability measurements – EcoVadis and ESG100.

Every year, EcoVadis rates over 85 000 companies globally. They evaluate how well a company has integrated the principles of sustainability. This year, Billerud earned a Platinum rating, securing our position among the the top 1 % of the rated companies within our industry.

Ecovadis' assesment focuses on 21 sustainability criteria grouped into four key themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. Billerud's performance in the EcoVadis sustainability rating reflects our dedication to long-term and genuine sustainability practices that are ingrained in every aspect of our business. It underscores our contribution to creating a more sustainable society.

ESG100 Report Highlights Billerud's Readiness for European Sustainability Reporting Standards

In addition to our EcoVadis achievement, Billerud is taking proactive steps to align with the latest sustainability reporting standards. We were evaluated in Position Green's ESG100 analysis, an annual review of ESG reporting by the 100 largest listed companies in Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.

The 2023 ESG100 report, titled "Investment-grade disclosures: Are Scandinavian companies prepared for the ESRS?," assesses the readiness of the 300 participating companies for the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) introduction. Billerud received an A grade and a top 5 position of all Swedish companies assessed.
