Sylvamo Releases 2023 Sustainability Performance Review

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Sylvamo is releasing its 2023 Sustainability Performance Review in a new, streamlined format that leverages print and an expanded sustainability hub on to highlight sustainability news, regional content, certifications, in-depth data and more.

The report makes Sylvamo’s sustainability story more approachable while providing greater flexibility to comply with sustainability regulatory reporting requirements.

The performance review outlines progress towards the company’s 2030 goals and how it’s focusing on people and the planet to produce the paper the world relies on. 2023 highlights include: 

  • 85% of mill energy generated from renewable, carbon-neutral biomass residuals 

  • 26% of leadership roles held by women against a 35% goal

  • $4.1 million globally invested with strategic partners supporting environmental and social initiatives

  • 75% reduction in serious injuries
