FPInnovations is pleased to announce that the next edition of the Woodrise international congress, an event that reunites the world’s leading players in mid- and high-rise timber construction, will take place in Vancouver (Canada) from September 22 to 26, 2025, thanks to the support of the government of British Columbia.

Since its inaugural edition in 2017, the Woodrise conference has attracted a growing number of countries interested to learn more about recent advances in the field of mid- and high-rise massive wood construction, in addition to providing a platform for interaction to companies working in the sector.

As co-organizer of Woodrise, FPInnovations is pleased to be the hosting country for this fifth edition in British Columbia. “Canada has a rich portfolio of projects in the field of mid- and high-rise timber construction,” said Stéphane Renou, President and CEO, FPInnovations. “The construction of the Brock Commons Tallwood House building, an innovative 18-storey hybrid building, which was the tallest mass-timber building in the world, was just the beginning of innovative leadership for B.C. in the mass-timber industry.”

FPInnovations’ team of researchers has brought major contributions to the deployment of massive wood construction in Canada and elsewhere, with the production of numerous handbooks and reference tools that have helped evolve building standards in Canada and around the world in recent years. These research results showcase the great contribution of wood construction to Canada’s goal towards NetZero emissions by 2050.

The current edition of Bordeaux welcomes an important Canadian delegation of industrial and government representatives that proudly showcase the know-how and expertise of Canada in the field of wood construction. “I am proud that Vancouver will host Woodrise 2025. B.C.’s entrepreneurs and construction industry professionals are excited to showcase their work and our local talent,” said Premier David Eby. “Our province is a leader in wood and mass-timber construction. This is a perfect match between event and location.”
