Join us as we stand for forests during FSC Canada’s annual celebration of responsible forestry.
FSC Week is finally here. The goal of this week is to raise much needed awareness for responsible forest management and to build appreciation and awareness for FSC.
Currently, in Canada, our news cycle demonstrates in real time our close relationship with forests. There is annual, serious wildfire activity in B.C. searing the landscape of many communities, and the summer of 2021 is no exception. In northwestern Ontario, smoke from forest fires hung as far south as Toronto, dropping air quality and visibility all along the way.
Protecting our forests is a role that isn’t exclusive to activist organizations, government agencies, or eco-conscious corporations. It’s a role any consumer can accept, with their wallet and with their choices. In an economy-driven society, that role is second to none.
We invite all partners and supporters to help #standforforests by sharing your commitment to FSC and FSC-certified products on your website and/or social media channels. Please watch for and share FSC Canada’s posts which will be shared throughout the week across all our social media platforms - Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn & Twitter.
This week also marks the world premier of our Stand for Forests video. An incredible creation that shares the mission of the Forest Stewardship Council from award winning motion graphic design studio Good Form, with narration by Juno award winning artist and member of the Peguis First Nation, William Prince, sound design by Jeff Moberg and script by Nicholas Blagrave. FSC Canada would like to extend our deep thanks to this amazing team.
Wait! There’s more.
Let’s make FSC Week a week to remember. Our forests need support more now than ever.
